The board of claimants has started being laid for the municipal elections. It has been proposed to hold body elections in the state in April. Regarding this, the people willing to contest the elections for the post of Councilor, Municipality and Nagar Panchayat President have started preparations to strengthen their hold at the grassroots level.
The ruling party BJP has the highest number of claimants contesting the elections. Apart from marriage ceremonies, they have started knocking at people’s homes on special occasions like Gami etc. When they got a chance for Holi and Shave-e-Barat, the claimants did not hold back in knocking at the voters’ homes to congratulate them on Holi. Although he was playing Holi with the voters, on the other side, the election has been announced from the government level. Regarding this, the administration has also started finalizing its preparations.
The bugle of municipal elections has been sounded in Municipal Corporation, Municipality and Nagar Panchayats. In the city, the councilors are preparing to know the condition of the people by going to the mohallas, while the eyes of the potential contenders contesting the election of the chairman in the Nagar Panchayats are fixed on the reservation to be announced after a fresh survey from the first government level.
The contenders have already started doing multiplication regarding the election. Someone is saying that in 2017 the seat was general, so this time it may be OBC or reserved. With all these points, the election fever has started.
