1 crore is needed to save this 5-year-old child from rare disease, slowly leading to death

Usually we think that if there is a disease then it will be cured by medicine. But in Britain, a 5-year-old child has such a rare disease that is slowly leading him to death. You will be surprised to know that the child got this disease from his mother. And the mother from a minor insect bite. If both are not treated, then they can die in a few years. But the cost of saving their lives is very high. Around one crore. Not only this, the whole family will have to leave Scotland and go to Germany because there is no treatment facility there.

Actually, 36-year-old Emily Gilmour and her 5-year-old son Oliver have a special infection. It is also called Lyme disease. It is caused by the bite of a bacterium named Borrelia Burgdorferi. Symptoms of Lyme disease start appearing within 3 to 30 days after the bite. Fever, headache, weakness, muscle or joint pain are common in these symptoms.

The worm was bitten 23 years ago
Emily, a resident of Scotland, was bitten by this insect about 23 years ago. At that time she was descending from a hill. Then the symptoms of flu appeared in him. She told the Daily Record, “I never fully recovered and have been suffering from joint pain ever since. It’s a weird situation.” I used to bear all this. But in 2020, the symptoms worsened as hair started falling out. Eyes started to see blurred. Sweating started at night even in cold weather. Things had become such that I used to drive in my car and go somewhere from home and I did not know how I reached here.

wound in brain along with heart
Emily saw the doctor. Then along with his heart, a wound was also found in the brain. Upon investigation, it was found that she was a victim of Lyme disease. Only then the symptoms started appearing in the son as well. It is slowly taking us towards death. Amnesia can also occur due to this infection in children. A doctor in Dublin told that there is no cure for it in Scotland, one has to go to Germany. The total expenditure on this will be around 100,000 pounds i.e. around one crore. Its treatment is called hyperthermia, through which the body will be heated to expel the bacteria. Emily revealed she spent almost £40,000 on various treatments and supports over the past four years – and £25,000 in the last 12 months alone. No more money left. If left untreated, the mother and son will become seriously disabled and will die a slow death.
