Actually, an ethical hacker named Anand Prakash discovered a bug in Uber, due to which people could ride without paying. If the bug was found correct, the company gave Anand Prakash a free ride for life and a reward of Rs 3 lakh. Please tell, Anand Prakash is also the CEO of a cyber security firm.

Anand Prakash told through LinkedIn post that he discovered the bug in Uber during routine check. He found that people can ride in US and India without paying any money. For this, people just had to use invalid payment method. Actually, due to this bug, it used to happen that if a person chose an invalid method for payment, then the ride would automatically become complete and free. Due to this, the company could have lost millions. This bug was discovered by Anand Prakash and then reported to the company. When the bug was found to be correct, the company fixed it and offered Anand money and a lifetime free ride in exchange. 

Uber can be booked through WhatsApp

You can also book an Uber cab for yourself through the instant messaging app WhatsApp. For this, all you have to do is message Hi on Uber’s official number +91-7292000002. After this you have to share the details related to the ride. Then you will get price information from the company and your ride will be booked as soon as you confirm.
