Pro. Tariq Mansoor has written the last letter to the AMU family as Vice Chancellor. Pro. Tariq Mansoor resigned from the post of VC after becoming MLC. Pro. Tariq Mansoor has emotionally expressed the experiences of his tenure in his letter.

it was written in the letter

“I have had the opportunity to lead this great institution through good and challenging times in the last 6 years. I started my journey at AMU almost five decades ago as a student. Studied and also taught. Served the University and was Vice-Chancellor. I thank my teachers, teaching colleagues, non-teaching staff, students, alumni and well wishers for making my journey so special and memorable. I am grateful to you

The digital infrastructure of the University was augmented and brought into online mode, enabling the human resource capabilities of students and staff at the time of despair of the COVID-19 pandemic. I got the opportunity to lead in the centenary of AMU. Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the university function as the chief guest. Prime Minister’s speech will be remembered in nation building. An important milestone in the history of AMU. He also called AMU as “Mini India”.

There is a National Education Policy which is going to change our education. I have served the University with full commitment, integrity and to the best of my abilities with the support of all of you. I express my deep regret for any lapse or action on my part during my tenure. Have any of you been hurt? I also regret not being able to complete the process of appointing my successor due to unavoidable circumstances. I apologize to you.
