Hema Malini On Female Actors: Veteran actress Hema Malini has given one to many superhit films to the Bollywood industry. He says that even today Amitabh Bachchan is getting roles. Roles are being written for them, but actresses do not get such roles. Hema Malini does not agree that OTT platforms have given better roles and better opportunities to female actors.
Roles being written for Amitabh Bachchan
Hema Malini during an interview with Mid Day said, ‘Where are the opportunities these days? Even today actresses do not get special roles. They are reserved for male actors. Even today Amitabh Bachchan gets such big roles. Specials are written for them only, but till date such special roles have not been written for the actress. If someone can write a role keeping me in mind, that would be great. I think I am also capable of performing better.
Till now no one has offered me such a role
She further said, ‘I am looking forward to explore different types of roles, from drama to out-of-the-box. The role has to be great so that I can say yes immediately, but till now no one has offered me anything like this. As an artist, I always want to do exciting projects. I will never say no to acting because it is my passion.

It is known that in the last few decades, Hema Malini has appeared in films like ‘Tum Haseen Main Jawan’ (1970), ‘Raja Jani’, ‘Sita Aur Geeta’ (1972), ‘Sholay’ (1975), ‘Jaaneman’, ‘Alibaba’. And has appeared in films like ’40 Chor’, ‘Bandish’, ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’ (1980) and Satte Pe Satta (1982). Hema is currently BJP MP from Mathura.
