Protection From Hacking: In the evening I opened my social media. I am talking about Instagram. I saw on my home page that a photo of a boy has been posted with the ID of one of my friends. The boy looked foreigner, not Indian. For a moment I felt that there might be some star, and my friend would be his fan. However, I still felt a bit awkward, and I opened my friend’s profile. After opening the profile, I was shocked for a moment. I noticed that all the Instagram photos of my friend were missing. He is fond of photography. For the last 6 years, he had captured his every moment, every happiness and talent in those pictures which were on Instagram. Now those pictures were not there.
We tried a lot, but we could not get back access to my friend’s account. Eventually we reported, and created a new account. After seeing all this, I had come to know that nothing can be said about when and who the hackers make a victim. But, it is definitely in our hands to keep ourselves secure and keep our account secure. Yes, we can save our account from getting hacked by taking care of some things and making a strong password. To ensure that the next hacking does not happen on your account, keep the points mentioned here in your mind and follow them as well.
create strong password
The first and foremost step to protect your social media account from hacking is to create a strong password. Don’t use easy-to-guess or common passwords. Create a password of at least 18 characters, using all uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols.
Two-factor authentication will come in handy
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. After turning on 2FA, hackers will also need another factor, such as a code sent to your phone or email, to access your account. Now if the hacker does not get the code, then he definitely will not be able to access your account.

Beware of phishing scams
Till now we have talked about security, but this point is related to caution. Only you have to take this precaution. In fact, phishing scams are a common method used by hackers to steal login credentials. You should always be careful with unknown links, emails or messages. Do not click on any unknown link even by mistake.
keep software up to date
If a new update of any social media has been released by the company, then you are sure that you are using the latest software. Through updates, the company fixes many security bugs.
Avoid Public Wi-Fi
By connecting the device to a public Wi-Fi network, it can be easily hacked. In such a situation, it would be better if public Wi-Fi is not used. Use a secure and personal Wi-Fi network or mobile data connection instead.
