You must have heard/read the news of terror of lions attack in the surrounding areas of forests, but there is a part of the country where people consider lions as family members. Not only this, he does not even miss praying for the lions. If you come to the Gir area of Gujarat, you will find many stories of the love of humans with lions. Here a family is in discussion these days, who got a prayer done for a sick lion by asking for a vow.

Gir is famous for the conservation of young lions of Alidar village of Kodinar area of Somnath district. Two twin lions named Ram-Lakhan were born in this village. The Ram-Lakhan pair has been very famous here for a long time and is seen coming and going in this area. Suddenly Lakhan fell ill and the forest department took him for treatment. The work of the department is at its place and here the blessings of the lion lover are at their place. A young man asked for a vow for Lakhan’s health to be cured.

Everyone waited for Lakhan for two and a half months

Bhagirath Singh, the lion lover of the village, said that the matter of Ram-Lakhan is something else. ‘He is not a lion, he is our family. When Lakhan fell ill, I had kept a vow of the story of Lord Satyanarayan. Now again Ram-Lakhan couple is seen in the village, so everyone is happy. When Lakhan got well, as per the wish, I told the story of Lord Satyanarayan at home. Prayed to God that Ram-Lakhan should be safe.

Significantly, the pair of Ram-Lakhan is often seen roaming in the rural areas including the luxurious Bodidar. Here, the villagers along with Bhagirath were praying and on the other hand, after two and a half months, the forest department released a lion named Lakhan back into the forest after recovering, everyone heaved a sigh of relief.
