After refusing Shatrughan Sinha, Ramesh Sippy started looking for another hero. According to media reports, Dharmendra recommended Ramesh Sippy to take Amitabh Bachchan in the role left by Shatrughan Sinha. Following Dharmendra’s advice, Ramesh Sippy cast Amitabh in the role of ‘Jai’. After this, Amitabh Bachchan immortalized the role of ‘Jai’ in Hindi cinema with his tremendous acting.
