Students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) got into a brawl after they were not given money for a cultural program at RM Hall. In this case, the administration suspended two students. On the other hand, the students broke the broken glass of the vehicle standing at the proctor’s office.
Late on Saturday night, Azim Abdul Rehman was holding a meeting with others regarding the cultural program to be held on May 10. Meanwhile, Abdul Haq, Farman, Mohammad Nazim and people reached RM Hall with katta, iron rod and knife. They asked for money, but Azeem and Abdul Rehman, students of BE Civil, refused and started fighting with them.
They dragged Azim and Abdul Rehman to the roof of the hall with a bandana on their heads, where they thrashed both the students. Seeing the students being thrashed, other students gathered to save them. The accused students ran away from the spot hurling abuses. Late in the night, a group of students from the hall reached the proctor’s office, where the accused were adamant on demanding action against the students.
