Vivek Agnihotri on CM Mamata Banerjee: It has been a long time since the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was released, yet it is mired in controversies. At the same time, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has sent a legal notice to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for “false and extremely defamatory statements” in ‘The Kashmir Files’.

Vivek Agnihotri wrote in a big note on Twitter, “I along with Abhishek and Pallavi Joshi have sent a legal notice to the Chief Minister, Bengal Mamata Banerjee for her false and highly defamatory statements, which harm us and our films The Kashmir Files and Upcoming 2024.” With malicious intent to defame the film ‘The Delhi Files’.

A day before this, Vivek Agnihotri, director of ‘The Kashmir Files’ had said that he is considering filing a defamation case against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Vivek Agnihotri said during a conversation with news agency ANI, “Yesterday Mamta Banerjee said that ‘The Kashmir Files’ and my upcoming film which is based on the massacre in Bengal is a propaganda. He said that BJP gives me funds for the films I make. Vivek Agnihotri said, we have sent a legal notice to CM Mamta Banerjee against her statements.

Tell which part is propaganda?
Vivek said, “We have sent a notice to Mamta Banerjee asking her to tell which part of the film is propaganda. We will take legal action against her. This controversy affects a person who earns his livelihood. Last one year I only know how I am living. In a democracy, the life of a filmmaker has been made difficult. I want this voice to reach the people of India and I want to set an example for the coming generations. that no one could dare.

He further said- Should I write the script of the film or send a notice. Never been with the lawyers, today the case is being worked with them. After today, if any person, journalist or any politician calls Kashmir file as propaganda, then either he should come and tell which scene is like this in the film, otherwise get ready for strict action. No one can stop the voice of Vivek Ranjan.

,The Kerala Story’ But Mamta Banerjee banned
Amidst all this, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had also said that ‘The Kerala Story’ was a distorted film whose purpose was to defame the southern state. Mamata Banerjee on Monday ordered an immediate ban on the screening of the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ to avoid “any incident of hatred and violence”.
