Why was paper based QR ticket brought?

In fact, till now it used to happen that while taking the token, people had to stand in long queues. Especially if the metro station is in a crowded area, then many times it used to take 10-15 minutes for the passengers to get the ticket. Due to this, the time of the passengers was not only wasted, but also a lot of resources of DMRC were spent. To eliminate this problem and to save people’s time and to give them a great experience, DMRC has started paper based QR Ticket. Passengers can now buy paper-based QR tickets from any station or take them from ticket machines.

The procedure for taking a paper based QR ticket is exactly like a token. You have to feed the station name and destitution name and collect the paper based QR Ticket by making payment. That is, instead of token, you will get a paper in which QR code will be made.

Then the entry will be like this

To enter through paper based QR ticket, passengers will have to put the QR ticket at the entry gate, just like you used to put the token now. Keep in mind that the QR code side of the paper should be on the machine. DMRC has installed two such entry and exit gates at every metro station, so you can read these paper based QR tickets. While entering and exiting you have to put the ticket on the machine. Once you exit, this ticket will become invalid and will be of no use.

Note, after taking the ticket, it will be valid for the next 60 minutes. If you exit the Delhi Metro after 60 minutes, then you will have to go to the customer care of the metro station and get a free-exit pass and also pay some extra charges to the metro, as is still the case in the card and token system.

Note these things-

After taking the ticket, if you get down before or after the destination station, then you will have to go to the customer care point to get the exit pass from the metro station and also pay according to the situation. Suppose you get down from the destination station later, then for this you will have to pay extra charge to the metro, only then you will get the exit pass.

Money will not be refunded if you land before the destination point

You cannot use the photo of paper based QR Ticket in the phone, if someone is caught doing so then DMRC will take action against him.
