Ben Stokes Leaves CSK Camp: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won their last league match against Delhi Capitals (DC) by a stunning 77 runs on 20 May. With this victory, Chennai also made its place in the playoffs with 17 points. Now the team will take on the field against Gujarat Titans on May 23 in the first qualifier match. Chennai has got a big blow before the playoffs in the form of Ben Stokes.
Ben Stokes has now left for his country England after the league stage match is over. Stokes was made a part of his team by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 16.25 crore. Stokes got a chance to play in only 2 matches and he managed to score a total of 15 runs. Apart from this, Stokes bowled 1 over and also gave 18 runs.
England Test team captain Ben Stokes has to captain the team in the only Test match between England and Ireland starting from 1 June. Stokes decided to go back to prepare for this Test match and the Ashes series starting after it. Chennai will not feel the absence of Ben Stokes much
With Ben Stokes returning home, Chennai Super Kings will not miss him much. The Chennai team has come to the field without any change in the last 4 league stage matches. Now in Qualifier-1 also, there is little hope that CSK will make any changes in the team. The first qualifier match of this season of IPL will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
