A property dealer was shot dead in Jahangirpuri area on Monday afternoon. At the time of the incident, he had reached Bhalswa village to attend the Bhandara for the installation of the idol. Meanwhile, three-four assailants opened fire on him and fled. He got six bullets. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Initial investigation revealed that the deceased was a proclaimed offender of Shalimar Bagh police station and ten cases of murder and dacoity were registered against him. The police have expressed the possibility of murder in mutual enmity. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Bijendra Yadav alias Babli, a resident of Bhalswa Dairy.
Police Hospitalized Fare
He is survived by wife and daughter. Daughter is married. Vijender had cable and property business in the area. At 3 o’clock the police got information about a person being shot in Bhalswa village. The police reached the spot and came to know that the injured Bijendra had been taken to a nearby hospital. On reaching there, it was learned that the doctors declared him brought dead. Police registered a case of murder and started investigation.
Six bullets fired in miscreants
Initial investigation revealed that at the time of the incident, he had come to Bhalswa village to attend the Bhandara for the installation of an idol. He was having a conversation with his friends sitting on a chair. Meanwhile, three to four attackers came and opened fire on him. A bullet hit his head. He was hit by a total of six bullets. It has also been learned that he was a potential candidate from a party in the corporator elections held in December last year, but did not get the ticket on the spot. The police officer says that the matter of enmity is coming to the fore in the initial investigation.
