Smart pants send a notification to the person’s mobile when his zip is open and save him from embarrassment in the society. Have you ever heard of smarty pants? Have you seen them anywhere? A user named Guy Dupont has shared a video of smart pants on Twitter. It can be seen in this video that when the zip of the pant is open then the person gets a push notification in the mobile. On checking the notification one can easily close the zip of the pant. Guy Dupont told that he made these smart pants at the request of his friend, who wanted a pant that could tell when the zip is open.

How do smart pants work?
In a tweet, Guy Dupont explained how he made the smart pant and the ingredients used in it. Dupont attached some safety pins to a pair of jeans with a Hall effect sensor, and also attached a strong magnet to the zipper. The process also involves some wires which connect to an ESP-32 and it sends a push notification to the mobile as soon as the hall effect sensor is ‘on’ for a few seconds. Notification is received in mobile through WiFly service and then person can switch off his zip.

This smart pant cannot be washed like other pants as it has sensors embedded in it. Also, because the sensor is always connected with the mobile, it also consumes more battery. This project was built by Guy Dupont for his friend who is currently looking for investors.
