Pradeep Dhankhar / Bahadurgarh: ‘Billu De Mashoor Pakode’ is not dependent on any identity in Bahadurgarh today. People come from far and wide to eat pakoras in Billu’s shop. Along with the test, about 20 types of pakoras are made here. Not only common people, but film actors and politicians also come to Billu De’s famous pakoda shop.
Mansingh Dua, who came to Bahadurgarh during the partition of India and Pakistan, set up a pakora-making hawker for the first time in the city. When Mansingh Dua, who came empty-handed from Pakistan, could not find any other way to earn his livelihood, he started making pakoras. People became crazy about its taste and fragrance.
In the year 1950, Mansingh Dua started Rehri in Bahadurgarh. Today after 73 years his grandsons Amit and Sachin Dua are running this shop. Even today Pakoras have the same taste. Mansingh Dua set up a fireplace at Lal Chowk here and started selling four to eight pakodas for two, three and five paise.
The secret is this spice
Gradually the taste and aroma of these pakoras reached the neighboring states. Let us tell you that in Billu’s shop, the masala to be sprinkled on top of the pakoras is specially prepared, which is his secret recipe. Because of this secret spice, the taste and aroma of pakodas attract people.

Former Chief Ministers of Haryana, Chaudhary Devi Lal, Bansilal and Bhupendra Singh Hooda, as well as film actor Rajesh Khanna, actor Praveen Kumar, who played Bhima in the Mahabharata serial, have also been fond of eating Bahadurgarh’s pakoras.
