Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stressed on nationwide opposition unity against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government ahead of a meeting to be held in Patna on June 23. Shocker Santosh Suman aka Santosh Manjhi Right now he is not saying anything about joining the NDA, nor is he opening his mouth against the CM. But, he definitely refused to stay in the Grand Alliance. How, understand from this question and answer.

Question – Why did you resign?

  • Santosh Manjhi – Was finding it uncomfortable. The question of the existence of the party was in front.

Question – Was it the issue of five seats in the Lok Sabha or the merger?

  • Santosh Manjhi – There were many things. In fact, our identity as an independent party of the grand alliance had come under threat. We were talking about five seats in the Lok Sabha, but instead of giving a response from the other side, a proposal for the merger of our party itself was coming.

Question- You were with JDU earlier also?

  • Santosh Manjhi – I am still in the Grand Alliance. There is no lack of faith in Nitish ji. Simply, it did not seem appropriate to compromise on the existence of our party. We formed ‘Hum’ party after separating from JDU. It has its own vision. We parted ways because of the vision. Now leave the vision and merge, this is not acceptable.

Question – The invitation was not received even in the meeting of the opposition parties. Was this even an issue?

  • Santosh Manjhi – Many things add up. It was not a big issue. It is possible that if not today then tomorrow he will be called, but many things were coming together. And, everything was questioning our very existence.

Question – Now, going to NDA?

  • Santosh Manjhi – No, no such decision has been taken yet. If the party can take a decision on the resignation of one of its leaders from the cabinet on the question of its existence, then the rest of the decisions will also be taken on this basis. We are now a part of the Grand Alliance. Many parties are with the government even though they are not in the cabinet, similarly we are also in the government at present. Not in NDA, will go if called for opposition unity meeting.
