Whenever people from all over the country come for shopping in the markets of Old Delhi, they do not go back without eating the street food here. Mumbai Sandwich, which is available at a small shop in Chandni Chowk, is making people crazy these days. People come here to eat this sandwich and it remains the cheapest source of food for the people working in the shops here.
Ajay, who set up shop, said that he has been working here for 8 years and his father has been setting up shop here continuously for almost 30 years. It also told that this ‘Mumbai Sandwich’ first became famous in Mumbai then they started serving it here. If we talk about this shop, then it is just a shop set up on a small table. All the ingredients for making sandwiches are kept in a small space made inside this table. From where that stuff is then taken out and a sandwich is made.
Sandwich Recipe
To make sandwich, first two slices of bread are taken. On which butter is applied. Then green chutney is applied on it which is made from mint, coriander and spices. Potato, cucumber, onion, and tomato are also cut and put in it along with spices. In the end, paneer is put inside this sandwich, then after adding tomato ketchup and a little salty on top of it, this sandwich is served to you.

To eat this sandwich, you have to get down from Yellow Line Metro at Chandni Chowk Metro Station, from there you will find this shop while going towards Fatehpuri Masjid. This shop is open here from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The rate of this sandwich is also only Rs.30.
