Ingredients to make poppy seed pudding
Poppy seeds – 1 bowl
Sugar – 1 bowl
Milk – 1 cup
Ghee – 1/2 cup
Chopped almonds – 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts chopped – 1 tbsp
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp

How to make poppy seed pudding
To make nutritious poppy seed pudding, first clean the poppy seeds and soak them in water overnight. The next day, take out the poppy seeds from the water and put them in a mixer jar and grind them to make a smooth paste. While grinding poppy seeds, you can add one or two teaspoons of water if needed. Now heat a pan on medium flame and add ghee to it and melt it.

When the ghee melts, add poppy seed paste to the pan and roast it. Roast the poppy seeds paste on low flame for two to three minutes. In this time, the color of poppy seeds will become light golden. After this add milk and sugar as per taste to the poppy seed paste and mix it well. Roast the pudding for 5-7 minutes while stirring it in between. During this, cut fine pieces of dry fruits.

When the pudding starts leaving the pan while cooking, add chopped cashews, almonds and cardamom powder to it and mix. Now cook the pudding while stirring for two to three minutes. When the sweet smell starts coming from the halwa, turn off the gas. Poppy seeds pudding full of taste and nutrition is ready. Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish it with dry fruits and serve it.
