Chamcham’s scene was also picturized by director Abhishek Sharma in the film Parmanu The Story of Pokhran.
Chirag, manager of Shyam Chamcham Bhandar, said that Chamcham was first invented by Askaran Hastimal Sevag. After that Chamcham became the brand of Pokhran. Today, the economy of Pokhran’s sweet stores and the identity of Pokhran rests on Chamcham. Two types of Chamcham are made here, in which saffron flavored and saffron-free Chamcham are available. Their price is 400 to 450 rupees per kg.
