Earlier this Namkeen Bundiya and Sev was made only in Nalanda, but now it is made in other districts also. For the first time it was started by a person named Basant of Nalanda. Earlier he used to filter and sell it on the handcart, but on the strength of hard work, now he has slowly built his own shop. Now this cell has started happening on a large scale. Everyday 5 kg of salty is sold. If this sev and bundiya are kept well packed, they do not spoil for a month. Talking about the price, it is sold at Rs.160 per kg.

Artisan Ravi Kumar, who works in the Basant Bahar shop, explains that Charitha is a powdered rice powder. Besan and Mangarela are mixed in it and served in a hanging manner. Then put it in fortune, dalda or ghee and fry it. Earlier there was only one shop by the name of Basant Bahar, but now there are 4 to 5 shops running there. Apart from this, Anarsa, black berries, white chhena, seasonal snacks etc. are made. This shop is famous not only in Nalanda but also in neighboring districts.
