Vijay Singh Chana Jor Garam, a resident of Junawas Colony of the city, says that in the olden days, the first choice of the people for spicy taste was Jor Garam. People used to eat it in the form of fast food. With the changing times, gram is now visible only in these fairs. He says, ‘I came to Bhilwara from Uttar Pradesh 26 years ago to sell gram hot. The people of Bhilwara liked it so much that I have been living in Bhilwara for 26 years and have been feeding people with gram.

There is so much demand for Chana Jor Garam among the people that instead of my surname I have kept Janak Jor Garam after my name. Its taste is such that people’s mouth starts watering on seeing it. The street through which I pass by calling Chana Jor Garam. In that street, people call me with a voice. As much as its taste is spicy, it takes hard work to make it. It takes many hours of hard work to make it.
