Asia Cup 2023, KL Rahul: There will be a match between India and Pakistan on 10 September in the 2023 Asia Cup. Both the teams will clash in the Super-4 round. Rahul started by standing on the stumps at the Premadasa Stadium and two support staff played the roles of batsman and bowler, practicing wicketkeeping against the spinners. Rahul was made to practice catching the ball going outside the off stump and he continued practicing the whole time without any problem.
Rahul then concentrated on catching the ball on the leg side. He kept catching the ball without any problem. After this drill, his stumping ability was also evaluated. Later, Kuldeep Yadav batted and Rahul practiced wicketkeeping against the left-handed batsman.
However, the team management will have to think deeply about including him in the playing eleven. In Rahul’s absence, Ishan Kishan is playing the role of wicketkeeper batsman. Kishan has impressed everyone by scoring four half-centuries in four matches, three of which came against West Indies and one against Pakistan.
