A strange incident has come to light from Vadodara, Gujarat. Actually, an arrested person escaped from police custody by dodging the police in a court complex in Vadodara.
Police informed on Sunday that a person named Viraj Patel is accused of raping a model. Viraj was arrested in April 2023 on charges of cheating, forgery, rape and pretending to hold a special post as a public servant. He was lodged in Vadodara Central Jail as an undertrial prisoner.

Police had earlier said that he had also identified himself as the chairman of Gujarat International Finance Tech-City (GIFT City). Viraj was taken to the court of Additional Sessions Judge MN Sayyed on Friday for hearing. Meanwhile he managed to escape by dodging a head constable who was given the charge of his custody.
