- Along with Lord Bhaskar, worshiping Lord Vishnu in the month of Pausha is also fruitful. Therefore, definitely worship Lord Vishnu this month.
- In the month of Paush, one should recite Geeta and Vishnu Sahastranam regularly.
- Donation made in the month of Paush brings a lot of virtue. Therefore, this month, donate as much as you can to the needy and Brahmins.
It is inauspicious to do these things in the month of Pausha.
- The month of Paush is not considered auspicious for starting any new work. Therefore, do not do any work related to new work, new business or construction of a new house this month. Along with this, one should not buy a new vehicle or house this month. Because Kharmas is found in Paush only.
- In the month of Paush, marriage, Mundan, sacred thread ceremony, house warming, engagement etc. should not be done. Because there are no auspicious times in Paush for these auspicious works.
- There are some food items which should not be consumed during the month of Pausha. Do not consume meat, alcohol, urad dal, lentils this month. Also, consume more jaggery instead of sugar.
