GST’s special research branch SIB Mathura reached the metal firm located in the industrial estate of Hathras city on 29 December to investigate. During this period, the stock of two firms with a turnover of crores of rupees was counted, while all the documents were scrutinized. Till late evening there was a gathering of officials at the firm.
In the afternoon, under the leadership of Rajvardhan Singh, Joint Commissioner of Special Research Branch, Mathura, the team reached the Industrial Estate Sadar to investigate MD Products etc. present in the Mahagaur Metal Industry Complex. The team members took all the documents in their possession, while other members counted the stock of metal present on the spot.
According to the information, under both the firms the work of making ingots is done by melting brass and zinc scrap. It is believed that the work of melting other metals is also done at this firm. The Mathura team has also scrutinized the documents of those who purchase from the firm and from whom the firm purchases. On the basis of these documents, other firms are also likely to be investigated further. During this, Deputy Commissioner of Special Research Branch Shashi Bhushan Tripathi, Assistant Commissioner of SIB Mathura Rajiv Kumar, CTO SIB Seema, CTO Mobile Mathura Yogendra and Manish Kumar, CTO Mobile Hathras Manoj Goyal and Prem Singh were present.
