In Jamui late on Sunday evening, a speeding truck laden with sand crushed a young man riding a bike, due to which he died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Upendra Yadav (40), son of Arjun Yadav, resident of Muhali Garh. After the incident, the driver fled from the spot leaving the truck behind. As soon as information about the incident was received, a crowd of local people gathered and the angry people blocked the road. During this time, angry people also vandalized the truck, due to which the glass of the truck was broken. The incident took place near Mahuli Garh located on the Jamui-Giddhaur main road.
Enraged by the incident, people blocked the road
Regarding the incident, local people say that bike rider Upendra Yadav was going from his home in Muhli Garh towards Gidhaur. Meanwhile, a speeding sand laden truck coming from Gidhaur side suddenly took a turn on the wrong side near Muhli Garh towards Dharamkanta without giving indicator, due to which the bike rider Upendra Yadav came under the tire of the truck. Upendra Yadav died in this incident. After the incident, the driver fled from the spot leaving the truck behind. As soon as information about the incident was received, a crowd of local people gathered at the spot and blocked the road. During this time, on receiving the information, the police of Gidhaur and Khaira police station reached the spot, persuaded the people who were blocking the road, got the jam removed and sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Three deaths in two days in a span of one kilometer
Two days ago also, on Friday, a speeding truck had crushed two teenagers near Gidhaur Minto Tower, just one kilometer away from the incident site, in which both of them died on the spot.
