Japan Plane Fire: A major accident occurred on Tuesday (January 2) in earthquake-ravaged Japan. A plane caught fire while landing on the runway of Haneda Airport in Tokyo. There were more than 350 passengers on board and all of them are safe.
According to Japan’s NHK TV, the passenger plane collided with a coast guard plane at the airport and caught fire. In this, five crew members aboard the Coast Guard plane died. One person is injured.

NHK TV quoted Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida as saying that 367 passengers and 12 crew members on the plane were evacuated safely. Japan’s PM Fumio Kishida said that the loss of lives of five people is extremely regrettable and disturbing. I express my deepest condolences to their families.
According to the New York Times, the Coast Guard plane was going to supply goods to the areas affected by the earthquake in Japan.
A day before this accident, on Monday (January 1), several earthquakes were felt one after the other in Ishikawa province and surrounding areas of Japan, the maximum of which was 7.6. At least 30 people died due to the earthquake.
