A woman has not one but two uteruses.
She had already become a mother thrice.
This time she has had children from different uteruses.

Kelsey Hatcher, a resident of Alabama, America, had a special thing in her body. Her body was very different from that of other women. There were two uteruses in her body. The surprising thing was that both were working fine. The story did not end here. When Hatcher became pregnant, she had a child in both her wombs. This happens one in a million. Surprisingly, she gave birth to children from both the wombs in Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.

It took 20 hours of Hatcher’s two daughters’ time. After the birth of one daughter, the other one came into the world 10 hours later. This was a challenging task for the hospital but the doctors were happy that both the girls and Hatcher, all three are healthy. A strange coincidence is that both the girls have different birthdays.

Hatcher was diagnosed with a double uterus condition when she was 17 years old. This condition is called uterus didelphys. This strange condition occurs only in 0.3 percent of women. In such a situation, the hatcher’s ability to give birth to babies within 20 hours of each other makes the matter even more difficult.

The interesting thing is that even before this, Hatcher had become a mother thrice but this was the first time that she could give birth to children from both the uteruses. In such a situation of two pregnancies and two different birthdays, a question arises whether both the girls can be called twins.

In this matter, Professor Dr. Richard says that technically the answer to this question is both yes and no. Because in reality, twins can be said to be two children born from the same womb at the same time. But Hatcher’s case was different. Here both the children were in different uteruses. Different eggs were made in it. Professor Davis says that both the children can be called fraternal twins. After all, both of them came out of the same stomach at the same time.
