Neetu (19) and her lover Jaipal alias Sachin (20) were killed by family members by cutting them with a shovel on Tuesday morning in village Parauli of Bilsi police station area of Badaun. Later, Neetu’s father went to the police station with a blood-stained shovel and surrendered. The police have also arrested Neetu’s mother who was involved in the crime. FIR has been registered against five people and search for other accused has been started. Neetu and Sachin belonged to different castes.
Jaipal, resident of village Parauli, used to drive a taxi in Haryana. According to the police, he was in a love affair with Mahesh, daughter of Neetu, who lived in the neighborhood for a long time. Neetu belonged to Kori and Jaipal belonged to Kadere caste. For this reason Neetu’s family objected. Jaipal came from Haryana on Saturday. Neetu came to Jaipal’s house around ten o’clock on Monday night.
The family members kept searching for Neetu throughout the night. On becoming suspicious, Mahesh and his family members reached Jaipal’s house at around 4.30 am on Tuesday morning with sticks and shovels. As soon as he knocked on the door, Jaipal and Neetu started running out of the house. Then the accused attacked him. Both of them were killed by cutting them with a shovel in front of the house.
After this, Mahesh went straight to the police station with a blood-stained shovel and surrendered. After receiving the information, Inspector Brajesh Kumar Singh and later SSP Dr. OP Singh, SP Dehat Ram Mohan Singh and CO Sushil Kumar Singh reached the spot. The police station sent both the bodies for post-mortem.
