Recently, the actor made a shocking revelation in an interview about the reason for changing his surname.
Why did Pankaj Tripathi change his surname?
Talking to India TV, Pankaj Tripathi revealed the reason for changing his surname and said, ‘This would be the first time in history that a father got the name from his son. I was filling the admission form for class 10th. My uncle’s surname was Tripathi and he had become an officer in the government. There was also a Baba whose surname was Tripathi, he became a professor of Hindi. But those who had my surname Tiwari were either priests or farmers. So, I thought it was because of the surname.
I didn’t want to be a farmer or a priest. So I wrote my name as Tripathi in the form. But then I thought that I cannot write my father’s name Tiwari in the form because it may get rejected. So I changed his name also.”
Pankaj Tripathi used to do stunts to become famous among girls
During the interview, Pankaj Tripathi recalled his childhood in his native village Belsand in Bihar. He recalled the time when he used to perform stunts on a bicycle. He said, “I used to do stunts on bicycles because there was a boy who used to do such stunts and he was very famous among girls. I am talking about the time when I was in 7th or 8th class in school. A slow cycle race was organized in 1950, so the boy who became the winner of that race became very famous among the girls. So, this is what I learned that I will become the winner next year, but I lost, I There was no winner.”

Meanwhile, talking about Pankaj Tripathi’s work front, the actor’s OMG 2 and Fukrey 3 were super-duper hits last year. Recently, Pankaj’s web series Kadak Singh was also released on OTT which has received good response. Now Pankaj will soon be seen in ‘Main Atal Hoon’. This biopic of late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be released on January 19 this year.
