Actually, there is a Peda Chowk on Jandaha-Musri Gharari main road of Samastipur district. Most of the shops here are of Peda only. Whoever passes through this route definitely stops and buys Peda from here. Its taste is such that people gobble it up within a short time.
Shopkeepers of Saraiya Chowk alias Peda Chowk say that pure milk is easily available in this area. For this reason, most of the shopkeepers here make Peda. Peda made from real Khoya has a different taste. The reason is that, firstly, it has a pleasant aroma, secondly, very less amount of sugar is added to it. For this reason, everyone likes to eat it. It is said that whether going from Hajipur to Samastipur on NH-322 or coming from Samastipur to Hajipur, people and drivers passing through this route definitely eat Peda.

Shopkeeper Arvind Kumar, resident of Saraiya Chowk, says that his shop is quite old. Due to its reliability, people passing through this route stop their cars there and taste the peda. He told that the special peda here goes to many other states along with Bihar. The shopkeeper told that during Raksha Bandhan the sale of Peda is so high that even the orders are not fulfilled. However, on normal days, 50 kg of milk is sold every day.
