Police arrested bike mechanic Wasim for commenting on social media about the Ram temple built in Ayodhya. The accused had made objectionable comments on Instagram. Police are alert regarding the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on 22 January. Wasim, a resident of Milak Chikna village of Civil Lines area, commented on Instagram about Ram Mandir.
A user named Arjun Gupta complained about this by tagging Rampur Police through X. Taking the complaint seriously, the police arrested the accused Wasim. Ajitpur outpost in-charge Ritesh Shukla filed a case in Civil Lines police station. SP Rajesh Dwivedi told that Wasim is a bike mechanic. He works in Kerala.
These days he has come to his home. He has been arrested and further action is being taken. Strict action will be taken against those spreading rumors and making false comments on social media.
Appeal to maintain peace
Peace Committee meeting was organized in Bilaspur Kotwali. The city’s elite people and religious leaders participated in it. Kotwali in-charge Balwan Singh said that during the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22, everyone should cooperate with the police administration in maintaining peace.
He said that everyone should maintain peace by showing mutual brotherhood. No person should create any kind of dispute. If any person has any objection to any event etc. then he should immediately inform the police. So that the problem can be solved in time.
He said that if any person tries to disturb the peace, the police will take immediate action against him. Senior Sub Inspector Deepak Malik, Senior State Vice President of Trade Board Dhannumal Bansal, City President Sudarshan Madan, General Secretary Rajiv Aggarwal, Ravi Raj Swaroop Bhatnagar, Chaudhary Lokendra Singh, Om Prakash Singh Yadav etc. participated in the meeting.
