Atlas Air Boeing Cargo Plane Emergency Landing At Miami International Airport After Engine Catches Fire


Atlas Air Boeing Cargo Plane Emergency Landing: A major plane crash was averted in America, where an Atlas Air Boeing 747-8 cargo plane had to make an emergency landing at Miami International Airport after an engine fire. The plane caught fire immediately after takeoff.

In this regard, Atlas Air said that the crew followed all standard procedures and landed the aircraft safely. According to news agency Reuters, the company will inspect the aircraft to find out the reason for the incident that occurred late night on Thursday (January 18).

In a video surfaced on social media platform X, flames are seen coming out from the left wing of the plane. At present the authenticity of the video has not been confirmed. FlightAware data revealed that the aircraft that caused the emergency was a Boeing 747-8. Boeing’s 747-8 aircraft operates with the help of four General Electric GEnx engines.

No one was injured in the incident
The airport told Reuters that Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the alert and rushed to the plane to assist. At present there is no information about anyone being injured in the incident. After this incident, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has asked 171 planes not to fly temporarily. The FAA has said that the planes will be inspected before taking off.

Part of Alaska Airlines plane broken
Earlier on January 5, a part of Alaska Airlines’ Max 9 aircraft broke soon after taking off from Portland, Oregon. Due to this, the breathing of 171 passengers and 6 crew members on board the plane got stuck.

Crack in plane cockpit in Japan
A similar incident was recently reported from Japan where a crack was seen in the cockpit window of a Boeing 737 aircraft in flight. The plane had to return to the airport after the crack was seen. According to the report, apart from the crew, there were a total of 65 passengers on board the plane. However, the fortunate thing is that no one got injured.
