The maximum demand for electricity recorded in Delhi at 10:20 am on Friday was 5798 MW. This is by far the highest demand in Delhi during the winter months. The previous winter records in Delhi were 5726 MW (January 17) and 5701 MW (January 12). This is the fifth time this January. Delhi’s power demand has exceeded last year’s maximum ‘winter’ power demand of 5526 MW, which was recorded on January 6, 2023.
