A woman was murdered during a fight over a land dispute in Naiyam village of Hayaghat police station area of Darbhanga. Patidars beat the woman to death over a land dispute. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Sadar SDPO Amit Kumar reached the spot and while investigating, also took information about the incident from the son of the deceased woman. According to Nitish, his father lives in Delhi for employment. He lives in the village and studies in ninth class. For two-three days his Patidars were quarreling with his mother and threatening to kill her. Again and again they asked for land papers.

Here, Hayaghat police station incharge Sunita Kumari has sent the body to DMCH for post-mortem. The son-in-law of the deceased, Ullas Kumar, who reached the hospital with the body, said that the gate of the post-mortem house was closed as it was night. In this regard, Sadar DSP Amit Kumar said that investigation into the case has revealed that the woman was murdered over a land dispute. The matter is being investigated and an FIR has been registered and action is being taken to arrest the accused. The body has been sent to DMCH for post-mortem.
