Liquor ban is continuously being flouted in Bihar. In Siwan, an elderly man openly took to the road carrying liquor. A video of this incident has also surfaced, which is going viral on social media. According to the viral video, a person named Bhola Manjhi was roaming with a packet of liquor in his hand near the market of Lakdi Naviganj police station area of ​​Maharajganj sub-division. He had already consumed alcohol. After getting information about the incident, the police swung into action.

According to the information, the elderly person is a resident of a village in the police station area. He works as a sawmill operator. As usual, he was returning home after finishing his work on his saw machine. During this time, he first drank alcohol, then took a liquor packet (pouch) in his hand and started making noise on the road. It is being told that after seeing the liquor packet in his hand, some youths made a video of that person. Then it went viral on social media, now this video is going viral very fast on social media. After this incident, questions have again started being raised on liquor prohibition in Bihar. People say that when liquor is banned, then where did this person get liquor, who is roaming around openly with it.

It is noteworthy that this is not the first case in Siwan. Many people have died here due to drinking poisonous liquor. Such videos have gone viral many times before. Just a few months ago, a video of people looting liquor from an accident car also went viral. Questions were raised regarding the liquor ban also.

Liquor prohibition was implemented in the year 2016

Actually, Bihar is a dry state. Where in 2016, Nitish Kumar’s government had announced liquor ban. From then till today, crores of rupees have been spent by the Bihar government to implement this law. Sometimes raids were conducted with drones and sometimes help of dog squad team was taken. Apart from the police, the Excise Department also took a lot of action. But only three leaves of cover remained.

On this entire matter, Maharajganj DSP Rakesh Kumar said that the matter has come to his notice. The video is being investigated. Liquor will be raided and confiscated soon.
