In seasons 1 and 2, the empire of Baba Nirala (Bobby Deol) was exposed to the audience layer by layer. How Baba Nirala, being the messiah of Dalits, with the help of his trusted constable Bhope (Chandan Roy Sanyal) and thousands and lakhs of devotees, fools the innocent people of the country, does wrong things with them, and keeps on creating a puddle of corruption.

The poor people, craving for food and searching for the meaning of life, get a shelter in the form of Baba Nirala. The ashram has done one good thing that Baba has not been shown making useless speeches and giving discourses. Baba’s ashram is a place for making and selling drugs, Baba sexually exploits girls there, when he is filled with the exploitation of abandoned and deserted women, he gets them married to one of his own devotees. To keep his disciples under control, he castrates them in the name of purification. The biggest politician moves around in front of him because millions of his devotees vote for any party at his behest. His empire is so big that police, administration, politicians, actors all are his chamchas or devotees. No one can raise voice against Baba and the one who does is finished, sometimes by shooting and sometimes by being implicated in a case.

In seasons 1 and 2, a girl Pammi (Aditi Pohankar) who is a wrestler from a lower caste, Baba seems to be her savior. Pammi and her brother become servants in Baba’s ashram even after quarreling with their parents. All goes well until Baba makes Pammi a victim of his lust and Pammi decides to destroy him. Pammi runs away from the ashram. The third season only focuses on Pammi going into hiding and Baba’s goons and the police finding her. In between there is a rousing song with Esha Gupta to break free from this game of catch-up, setting up a big drug cartel, along with the story of Baba’s disciple Rockstar Tinka Singh becoming a minister, There are also stories from the early days of Baba’s life, in which how Baba became such a great Baba from a common mechanic, and all this has been told from the mouth of his religious wife.

There is no special spice in season 3 but still the story has been served by pulling for 10 episodes. Some scenes seem unnecessary, some are boring and some are downright boring. Where the story should have picked up pace, the story has slowed down and where it should have slowed down, the scenes which serve as the middle link have not been placed at all.

However, Bobby Deol has done a wonderful job in this season as well. It is the best role of his life and he has breathed life into the character. Bobby is very handsome in costumes with big tunic and turban. Although Bobby’s dialogue delivery as an actor is very weak, but he has got the benefit of the same in this character. Slow down, speaking comfortably, never getting angry, connecting everything with devotion, never getting excited are the characteristics of his character and in this his dialogue delivery suits Baba. This is also the biggest role of Chandan Roy Sanyal’s career. When Baba Nirala is a mechanic Monty, he meets Bhope, who himself is a goon.

Both of them become friends. Bhope refines Monty’s personality, height and the art of serving smooth and soft-spoken talks and by taking him forward, he himself manages the entire ashram and Baba’s black business. Chandan, in spite of his short stature, has looked bigger than his height. There is no dearth in his ferocity in this season as well. Aditi Pohankar got first success in the role of Pammi, audience liked it but in this season Pammi has been missed. Same expression, same dialogue delivery and same delivery. Bored the audience. In the first season, she was a naive girl who only wanted to do wrestling. In second also she becomes Baba’s sevadar but performs well in wrestling but in this season she is just running away from Baba. His chemistry with Rajeev Siddharth is made and the audience expects that something else will happen but nothing like this happens.

The role of Chief Minister Hukum Singh is played by Sachin Shroff. In the second season, his role started taking shape, which shines more in this season, but Sachin’s character also appears unbalanced. This season could have happened without the entry of Esha Gupta as his friend and branding consultant Sunaina but Prakash Jha seems to have known that this season has nothing to hook the audience but a grossly vulgar flesh-temptation. song is inserted. Darshan Kumar’s character was important in the first two seasons but this season turned out to be strange. Similar behavior happened with all the old characters like Tridha Chowdhary and Adhyayan Suman.

This time the experienced Sanjay Masoom along with Avinash Kumar, the show’s creative director Madhavi Bhatt were associated with the writers team, but the absence of the initial season’s writer duo Habib Faisal and Kuldeep Ruhil seems to have weakened this season. Abbas Ali Mughal was given the responsibility of action and this time he did not seem to have done anything special. Action was not required at many places and chase sequences were necessary at some places to speed up the story, Prakash Ja’s trusted editor Santosh Mandal was expected to maintain the pace and thrill of the story, but this time Santosh has some playable material It didn’t work out. There was not a single episode in which there was a specific understanding of the story. Good editor, keeps the story tight, Santosh had nothing to tighten. This season of the ashram was very strange. Neither did the story move forward, nor did the introduction of new characters make any difference, nor did the old characters do anything that I wanted to see.

Baba’s stubbornness to catch Pammi, if he had named this too, it would have suited this season. The story of Baba Nirala’s transformation from mechanic to baba was wrapped up in a few minutes in one episode, keeping the audience away from Baba’s miracle or maybe another season would come out, dealing with Baba’s back story in a very short time.
