Hathras Court has ordered to register a case against an Asha worker for defrauding money in the name of providing a house by calling her as the secretary of the Housing Development Scheme. In this case, the victim woman had filed an application in the court.
Advocate Mohammad Iqbal, who appeared on behalf of the victim woman, said that Kamlesh Kumari, resident of village Bhadamai of Hathras Junction area of the police station, had filed an application in the court. The allegation was that Kamlesh Kumari works as an ASHA worker in the health department. On June 4, I received a call from an unknown person on my mobile. The caller said, I am calling from Hathras, I am the secretary of Housing Development Scheme. Your name has appeared in the housing scheme. The government is getting a house built for you, for this you will have to deposit some money.
She is a woman of simple nature and was taken in by his words. The unknown person sent two account details to the mobile phone of the victim woman. The Asha worker deposited Rs 55 thousand five hundred in those accounts on different dates. The unknown person who told his name was Ramesh said that your work will be done in 15 days. When the Asha worker called her number from time to time since 15 days, there was no contact.
It is alleged that when the Asha worker went to the police station, her report was not filed, then she sent her application from the registry to the SP. Then the Asha worker filed an application in the court. During the hearing, Judicial Magistrate Poonam Kumari Chauhan ordered the Hathras Junction police station in-charge to ensure that an FIR is registered and investigated in the light of the facts of the case.
