A case of embezzlement of Rs 4 crore in the name of profit in land and providing flat has come to light in Vrindavan Kotwali area of pilgrimage city Mathura. The victim has filed an FIR against three people including the two named. The Police is investigating.
Sanjeev Sharma, a resident of Harekrishna Orchid, told in the FIR lodged in the police station that he met Vikas Tyagi, who lives in the Orchid, in the year 2018. As the accused became friendly, he started coming and going home. Initially accused Vikas expressed the need of some amount and told that he deals in buying and selling land and flats. If you invest some money you can get good profits.
On this, the victim transferred Rs 35 lakh to the bank account of Chanchal Sharma, wife of accused Vikas. After some time, Rs 8 lakh was given to him in cash. When the victim Sanjeev Sharma did not get the flat after paying Rs 43 lakh, to build trust the accused told that he had purchased the land with the given amount. I will make a flat once I get some new customers.
Believing the words of Vikas Tyagi, the victim transferred Rs 8 lakh from Raksha Devi, Rs 10 lakh from Sunil Kumar, Rs 4.50 lakh from Ashok Mehta, Rs 3 lakh from Sunita Devi, Rs 5 lakh from SS Vindra to the account of the wife of accused Vikas in 2019. Given. After a few days, after showing someone else’s land, Vikas Tyagi and Chanchal Sharma told that they are badly trapped and are facing huge losses due to lack of money. Once the flats are completed, there will be huge profits and then the confidence has been gained.
The victim got the committee raised on his guarantee of Rs 1 crore in Yamuna Nagar thrice and got some of the money from his friends. In this way, around Rs 4 crore reached Vikas Tyagi and Chanchal Sharma. Later it came to light that neither the land nor the plot was purchased. Kotwali in-charge Anand Kumar Shahi said that a case has been registered based on the victim’s complaint and investigation is being done.
