Fasal Vividhikaran Yojana: Bihar government is giving special incentives to farmers for crop diversification. This will not only increase their income but will also save the environment. Under this scheme, farmers can get more money by cultivating aromatic and medicinal plants. Farmers are getting up to fifty percent subsidy under the scheme.

Bihar government is promoting the cultivation of lemon grass, palm rosa, basil, asparagus and khus under crop diversification. Online application for the scheme has started from 22 January 2024. Farmers of 9 districts of the state can take advantage of this scheme.

Farmers of nine districts of Bihar can get the benefit of this scheme. This includes Gaya, Jamui, East Champaran, West Champaran, Nawada, Supaul, Saharsa, Khagaria and Vaishali. To avail the benefits of the scheme, interested farmers can expand the area of ​​aromatic and medicinal plants, whose area can be minimum 0.1 hectare and maximum 4 hectare.

50 percent subsidy will be given

The Horticulture Directorate of Bihar has also shared a post on social media regarding the crop diversification scheme. In which it has been said that farmers will be given 50% subsidy for cultivating lemongrass, palm rosa, basil, satavari and khus. Whose unit cost is Rs 1,50,000 per hectare. On this, farmers will be given subsidy of 50 percent i.e. Rs 75 thousand.
