Indian Student death in America One More Indian origin student died as dead body found in Cincinnati


Indian student death in America: A student of Indian origin has been found dead in Cincinnati, America. The deceased has been identified as Shreyas Reddy Benigeri and the cause of his death is not yet known. The Indian Mission in New York confirmed the death of this student in Ohio and said, “We do not suspect any foul play in this incident.”

It was also said on behalf of the Indian Mission, we are deeply saddened by the unfortunate demise of a student of Indian origin in Ohio. People of Indian origin living in the US are worried about such incidents. The Consulate is currently in contact with the victim’s family and is collecting remaining information. From our side, all possible assistance will be provided to the victim’s family.

This is the third case of death of an Indian student in a week.

By the way, this is not the first case of death of an Indian student in the US. This is the third case of death of a student of Indian and Indian origin there in the last one week. According to media reports, at the end of January, 25-year-old Vivek Saini was stabbed to death by a homeless man in a store. Drug addict accused Julian Faulkner had allegedly attacked her with a knife 50 times. It is surprising that this happened to the student when he had helped the accused a few days ago considering him to be in need. Saini had recently completed his MBA studies in America.

First student missing, then death confirmed after a day

Earlier, Neel Acharya, an Indian student studying at Purdue University in Indiana, was also found dead in America. He obtained a degree in Computer Science and Data Science from John Martinson Honors College there. Acharya’s family had reported him missing on social media on Sunday, while a day later on Monday, his death was confirmed. At the same time, in November 2023, Aditya Adlakha (26), an Indian doctoral student at the University of Cincinnati, died after being shot inside a car in Ohio. Adlakha was a PhD student in the Molecular and Developmental Biology program.

Student went missing in bone-chilling cold, body found later

In another similar case, Akul Dhawan, an 18-year-old Indian-origin student studying electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, was found dead in January. Dhawan’s missing information was given by his roommate when he was feeling bone-chilling cold. His body was found near the university campus in Champaign, Illinois, and the autopsy indicated that changes in Dhawan’s skin were caused by hypothermia.
