Late Saturday evening in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, a school director ran his car over a drunk pedestrian. One died in the accident. While two companions were seriously injured. The accused school director also clashed with the policemen who arrived on information. The police has conducted the medical examination of the school director. Action is being taken against the accused.

Eyewitness Rahul told the police that a white Fortuner car was going from Sikandra towards Artauni. The driver stopped the car near a culvert in the industrial area and asked for a matchbox from a passerby. After this the car was driven forward at high speed. At some distance, passengers were being seated in a vehicle. At this very moment the driver ran the car over them. Three people were seriously injured in the accident.

The injured include Rajan, resident of Nagla Chandrawan Deendayal of Farah police station area, his partner Mohan Singh and Dawoodyal, resident of Shahzadpori. Rajan was returning home from duty with his two companions. An accident happened on the way. The injured were taken to a private hospital located on the highway. After investigation here, the doctor declared Rajan dead. The other two are undergoing treatment.

Supporters tried to save the accused

The accused is Ankit Sharma, director of Agra Public School located in Vijaynagar of Hariparvat police station area. During the accident, the speed of the car was so high that both the air bags opened. The accused came out of the car and started abusing people. He also misbehaved with the police who reached the spot after getting information. Many of his supporters also came to the spot. He started misbehaving with the police and tried to save the accused.

the accused taken into custody

The police chased away the supporters and detained the accused. Incharge Inspector Sikandra Neeraj Sharma told that the accused is a school director. He has been taken into custody and sent for medical examination. The car has been brought to the police station with the help of a crane. A case has been registered on the basis of the complaint. Further action is being taken.
