Who is Satendra Siwal: Uttar Pradesh’s Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Sunday (February 4) arrested Satendra Siwal, an Indian citizen working in the Moscow Embassy, ​​on charges of spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.

UP ATS arrested Siwal in Lucknow. ATS said that Satendra Siwal had given confidential information to ISI supporters. The Ministry of External Affairs has also been informed about his arrest. ATS said that it received information that ISI operatives were luring some employees of the Ministry of External Affairs with money to obtain strategic information.

Who is Satendra Siwal?
Satendra Siwal is a resident of Shahmahiuddinpur village of Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name is Jaiveer Singh. Siwal was working as India Based Security Assistant (IBSA) in the Indian Embassy in Moscow since 2021.

Siwal is involved in anti-India activities
ATS took the help of electronic and surveillance during its investigation and found that Siwal is involved in anti-India activities with Pakistan’s ISI handlers. The ATS claimed that he leaked sensitive information about strategic activities of the Defense Ministry, External Affairs Ministry and Indian military establishments for money.

ATS field unit interrogated in Meerut
After investigation, Siwal was called to the ATS field unit in Meerut for questioning. When he could not give a satisfactory answer, he confessed to his involvement in the crime. A case has been registered against Siwal at ATS Police Station, Lucknow under IPC section 121A (waging war against the country) and Official Secrets Act, 1923.

In this regard, the Ministry of External Affairs said that it is aware of the arrest of Indian Embassy employee Satendra Siwal in Moscow. Satendra Siwal was allegedly spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
