Coaching Center Guidelines: In the last few years, competition for jobs and exams has increased so much that children are under constant pressure. This is the reason why crowd in coaching centers is increasing and for this parents have to pay fees worth lakhs of rupees. Many parents are also under pressure as to how good the coaching center they send their children to. There are already thousands of people in the queue for this. It has been seen many times that coaching centers make big promises to children and parents, but do not fulfill them… after which many times one has to leave the coaching midway.
Can ask for refund
Often when asked to leave the coaching midway, the coaching centers flatly refuse to refund citing their policy. In such a situation, parents have to suffer a loss of thousands of rupees. However, this will not happen now, for this you just need to be aware. You can ask for a refund from the coaching center and if it is not done then you can also complain about it.
Government’s new guidelines
Recently, new guidelines for coaching centers were issued by the Ministry of Education, in which it is clearly stated that coaching centers cannot run as per their wish. No coaching center can make false promises and also cannot give admission to children below 16 years of age in the coaching center. For violation, a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh can be imposed. There is also a rule in this guideline regarding refund. According to this, the coaching center will have to refund the remaining fees within 10 days.
That means, if any coaching center tells you that no refund is given as per their policy, then you can complain about it and also tell them about the government guidelines. In view of the pressure on children undergoing coaching and the continuously increasing cases of suicide, the government has made this new guideline.
