Gobi Manchurian Ban: Many people across the country eat Gobi Manchurian with gusto. But these days there is an uproar regarding this in Goa. This uproar is so big that even Gobi Manchurian was banned in Mapusa, Goa. This means that now you will not see Gobi Manchurian being sold in any shop or street vendor in Mapusa, Goa. Let us know why this happened.

On whose advice was the ban imposed?

In fact, Tarak Arolkar, councilor from Mapusa, Goa, had suggested during the Bodgeshwar Temple Jatra last month that Gobi Manchurian should be banned. The rest of the council immediately agreed to this, after which it was decided to ban this dish. However, this is not the first time this has happened. Earlier also in the year 2022, Gobi Manchurian has been banned.

Reason behind Cabbage Manchurian Ban

The biggest reason behind banning Gobi Manchurian is the synthetic color used in it. Actually, a lot of synthetic color is used to make Gobi Manchurian. This is done so that red color can emerge in it. However, this synthetic color is very harmful for health.

Chutney and cleanliness are also the reason

Apart from this, cleanliness was also not taken care of while making Gobi Manchurian. Many times, street vendors even used spoiled cabbage to make Manchurian. At the same time, the chutney given with it was also not meeting the quality standards. According to a report in Times of India, the Food and Drug Administration had raided some shops of Gobi Manchurian a few days ago. In this raid, cases of making Cabbage Manchurian in a dirty manner were revealed. In the same raid, it was found that washing powder is also used to make the sauce used to make Gobi Manchurian.
