Along with the union of Magh and Phalgun in February, 15 festivals will also create joy. Along with 53 Yoga, two Ekadashi, two Pradosh, one Shivratri, one Purnima as well as the bath of Mauni Amavasya will also take place in this special month. Phalgun, the last month of the Hindu calendar, will also begin in the last week of February.
Srikashi Vishwanath Temple Trust member Pt. Deepak Malviya told that February is called the month of Magh and Phalgun. Along with Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Puja, Rath Saptami, the festival of worship of Sun God, will also be celebrated in this month. The biggest festival of February is Mauni Amavasya. Taking bath on Mauni Amavasya pleases Lord Vishnu and one attains virtue. There is a tradition of donating sesame seeds and offering tarpan to ancestors on Mauni Amavasya.
National President of Shri Kashi Vidvat Karmkand Parishad, Acharya Ashok Dwivedi said that there is a combination of 53 Yoga in February. On 22nd February, maximum five good fortunes are being created in Pushya Nakshatra, Guru Pushya Yoga, Sarvartha Siddhi, Ravi, Amrit Siddhi Yoga. Apart from this, Indra, Sarvartha Siddhi, Ravi Yoga and Amrit Siddhi are being formed in Krittika Nakshatra on 17th February.
On February 19, Vishkambh, Sarvartha Siddhi, Ravi, Amrit Siddhi Yoga will be formed in Mrigashira Nakshatra. Magh Gupt Navratri is starting from 10th February. The auspicious time for establishing Kalash on the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Magh month is from 08:45 am to 10:10 am. Abhijit Muhurta for establishing Kalash is from 12:13 pm to 12:58 pm.
