A man appealed to the Senior Superintendent of Police that his brother had been kidnapped. A demand of Rs 4 lakh has been made as ransom for his release. The complainant also told the police that his brother’s location was near the LIC office under Rampur police station area of Gaya city. The police without any delay cordoned off the area and raided a house near the LIC office.
Kidnapping game was taking place from the house with board of Human Rights Office.
The house which was raided by the police had a board of Human Rights Office installed on it. But as soon as the police entered the house, people started running away, one of whom, Indrajit Kumar, was arrested. The police also recovered the kidnapped person Sunil Kumar from there in an injured condition. Police also found weapons, liquor bottles and many objectionable documents from that house. The kidnapped person, Sunil Kumar, is a resident of Dumri village of Atri police station area of Gaya district, who used to live and work in Hazaribagh. He told that a total of eight people have been named in this case, the police is searching for the remaining seven people. Police say that the arrested kidnapper is a resident of Jharkhand.
Police took action
Regarding the incident, Gaya City SP Prerna Kumar said that today a person met the Senior Superintendent of Police and complained that his brother was kidnapped and Rs 4 lakh was demanded as ransom. Taking immediate cognizance, the Superintendent of Police directed Rampur police station and recovered the kidnapped youth safely. The police have named a total of eight people in this case, the police is searching for the remaining seven people.
