PM Modi Lunch: Prime Minister Narendra Modi After several days, the issue of Revolutionary Socialist Party MP NK Premchandran having lunch with NK Premchandran in the canteen of Parliament House has again gained prominence after several days. The leader of Kerala’s ruling party CPI (M) has strongly criticized it, while Congress and RSP MPs have come out in support of Premachandran. While defending and supporting the MP, both of them have made it clear that there is nothing wrong in accepting the invitation given by the Prime Minister.
According to news agency ANI, NK Premachandran is the leader of the Revolutionary Socialist Party, which is an ally of the Congress-led UDF opposition in the southern state. The CPI(M) leadership accepted the invitation for lunch with PM Modi in the Parliament House canteen on February 9 as a ‘new closeness’ with the RSS. Left Democratic Front (LDF) convenor EP Jayarajan said that RSP’s Premachandran is part of the UDF alliance. What was the need for him to have lunch with PM Modi and what does it mean?
‘Marxist party is deliberately creating controversy’
On the other hand, Congress and RSP have fully supported the Kollam MP. Opposition leader VD Satheesan also said that the Marxist party was deliberately creating controversy. The main reason behind this is that he has nothing else to say.
Congress MP K Muraleedharan supported
Senior Congress leader and MP K Muraleedharan has also supported the RSP MP from Kollam. He said that if he too had received a similar invitation from the PMO, he would have accepted it. On this matter, MP NK Premachandran has justified accepting the invitation received from the Prime Minister’s Office and described it as a ‘friendly meeting’ beyond politics.
