Coming to the infection, Pawar said that Maharashtra has seen the maximum number of measles cases (3,075) and 13 deaths due to the disease, followed by Jharkhand which has confirmed 2,683 cases and eight deaths. Gujarat, Haryana, Bihar and Kerala reported 1,650, 1,537, 1,276 and 196 cases respectively. According to media reports, the number of deaths reported so far in Gujarat, Haryana and Bihar are nine, three and seven respectively.
