A student going to appear for matriculation examination was crushed by a bus in Bettiah. The accident was so horrific that the student died on the spot. The incident took place near Mishrauli Chowk of Shanichari police station area of the district. After the accident, there was a crowd of people on NH 127. Angered by the incident, people started creating ruckus. Angry people started pelting stones at the bus. Due to this the glass of the bus was completely damaged. Due to this crowd of people the traffic got disrupted.
Police pacified angry people
Here, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and pacified the people. Police is sending the body for postmortem. According to the police, a 16-year-old boy was going to appear for the matriculation examination when he was hit by a bus. Action is being taken against the bus driver. Some people are being interrogated. Further action is going on in the matter. The deceased student has been identified as Vikas Kumar (16), son of Nandkishore Mishra, resident of Navagaon village of Chanpatia police station area.
Police should take strict action against the bus driver
Family members say that on Thursday morning Vikas had gone out on a bike to appear for the matriculation exam. A speeding bus crushed him near Mishrauli Chowk. The accident was so severe that he died. Here, local people say that the speed of the bus was very high. This accident happened due to the mistake of the driver. Some people running road safety campaigns say that the police should take this matter seriously and take strict action against the bus driver. He says that parents should keep in mind that if someone does not have a driving license then he should not be allowed to drive.
